1- International Children’s Summit

Super 6 days, from 2-7 November, 2020 were filled with splendid series of workshops, talk shows, contests including storytelling, calligraphy, spell bee and creative writing as well as panel discussions on Digital safety, Teenage problems, Mindfulness and Public speaking, Mental Health and National Education Policy.  

800+ students actively participated in the event with participants from 7 Countries (Dubai, Singapore,USA, India, Kuwait, Japan, Oman).

We have on board the Legendary Actress Ms. Moushumi Chatterji, Legendary Actress, Mr. Javagal Srinath, Prof. KDS Bedi,  Mr. Chetan Sharma, Saurabh Shukla, Ms. Sanjeevani and others.

2- International Inter-School Fest

More than 800+ students across continents celebrated Republic Day of India 2021 by honing their skills in the International Inter-School Fest 2021. Blog Writing, Story Writing, Author in the Making, Online Speaking Competition, Sell your Product, Ad Making Contest, News Reading Competition were some of the contests held for the students.

We were honoured to have Ms. Deepa Malik. First Indian Women to win silver medal at 2016 summer Paralympics in the shot put, Padma shree awardee and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee, as the Chief Guest of our event. 

3- From the Expert’s Mouth

A webinar series organized for those who seek genuine, in-depth insights by experts actually getting their hands dirty.

Topics on Individuality, Stress Management, Mind Energising, etc. were discussed with esteemed personalities like Mr. Manmeet Singh- Turbaned Sikh Actor Model; Ms. Manpreet Kaur- World’s First Mind Energiser; Ms. Shreya Khatri- Life and Personality Development Coach; Nidhi Bhakuni, Director of Skilliv Academy and many others. 

4- Online International Debate Championship

On the 13th of June, 2020, more than 100 wits tussled against each other.

The topic of the debate was ‘Lockdown is the New Normal’.

The Jury members, Author Sherry, Ms. Davinder Sahni, Mr. Abhishek Verma had a great time listening to the participating teams’ strong arguments and opinions backed by evidence.

5- Summer Camp 2021

For children aged from 4 to 18, The Talk Room came up with  Summer Camp 2021 in the hybrid mode to make learning enjoyable for them.

We had mentors including Ms. Panchami Bhardwaj, Mr. Rajiv Narang, Ms. Indu Punj, Ms. Deepa and Ms. Meenakshi to engage the kids in fun activities while inculcating some crucial skills to nourish their core personality so that they succeed in every aspect of their lives.

6- Secrets Unfold with Swarleen and Shefali

A sneak-peek into the lives of celebrated personalities.

Miss Swarleen Kaur and Ms. Shefali Chopra were joined by Filmmaker Vikram Vijay Chopra; Major Mohommed Ali Shah- International Tedx Speaker and Actor; Aniket Joshi- Vocalist, Instrumentalist, Tedx Speaker; Ruchi Jain-  Diadem Ms. India Legacy Body Beautiful 2019 and others in a series of unraveling and awe-inspiring live sessions.

7- Unique,Unseen, Unsung

Celebrating our little bundles of joy becoming huge sources of inspiration even for adults.

The Talk Room invited young kids who are making it big in their lives through their tiny ways for Facebook live sessions so that the world gets to see their potential.

We were joined by Amaara Rao, a young writer, and Baker; Mohin Viraj Gandhi, Photographer and Diver; Nimrah Ali, young singer, and calligrapher; Sanyogita Singh,a Martial art expert has won many prizes and medals for India on international platforms; Bandesh Singh, Drummer and Paranjay Pratap Singh, Music Composer and Rapper.

8- Cuppa Coffee with Women

The Talk Room dedicated the first week of March to our courageous and determined women who are making this nation proud.

Different days of the Women’s week was intended to celebrate women doing wonders different professions- Dutiful Doctors, Empathetic Educators, Humble Homemakers, Sincere Single Moms, Confident Corporates, Founders, Nutritionists, and Celebrities. 

9- Teacher’s Day Celebrations

As a patron of education and quality teaching, The Talk Room decided to celebrate the ‘intellectual midwives’ of our nation. Teachers from all across Dehradun were invited to PVR cinemas to watch the latest release. Post the movie, all the teachers gathered for the cake-cutting ceremony and enjoyed their refreshments with some chit-chat with each other on their encounters with a few interesting students and parents. After all, a teacher’s life starts and ends with students, isn’t it?

The Times of India featured our initiative in their newspaper. 

10- Panel Discussion on National Education Policy

The introduction of the NEP 2020 by the Government of India induced missed feelings in students as well as parents about what the future holds.

To clear the hazy views, half-baked opinions and to establish a comprehensive idea about the policy in the minds of all stakeholders, The Talk Room organized a Panel Discussion in March 2020 with educationists Ms. Priya Wadhwa, Ms. Joyeeta Mukherjee, Ms. Bandan Preet Mahajan and Ms. Shefali Chopra.
